A lecturer at the department of Mass Communication, Lagos State University of Technology (LASUTECH), Taiwo Okeowo, has bagged a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) degree.
Platforms Africa reports that Okeowo successfully defended his thesis at the school of post-graduate studies, Lagos State University (LASU), on Thursday, 25th of January, 2024.

Announcing the feat in a statement sent to Platforms Africa, the new scholar spoke on how his thesis titled; “Framing of Farmers and Herdsmen Conflicts in Selected Nigerian Newspapers,” earned him the highest academic rank.

“Celebrate with me as I have just been awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mass Communication with a thesis titled “Framing of Farmers and Herdsmen Conflicts in Selected Nigerian Newspapers” at Lagos State university (Ojo).
His thesis was supervised by renowned Professor Jide Jimoh while his external examiner was Professor Sunday Oloruntoba from the University of Lagos (UNILAG).
